This is my 1st model which i have modeled using plane modeling, so bare with me if it is not very good, it is an MP5-A4 so my reference says lol.
I havnt spent a great deal of time doing it because im not patient enough to go into great detail. Comment on it :D thanks http://file043a.bebo.com/6/original/2008/05/18/13/5806390551a7768302699o.jpg

Sorry to say this, but modeling is all about patience. Try to focus on it, find more references, and try going through this tutorial: http://www.moddb.com/tutorials/23868/beretta-9000-video-tutorial

If you're not going to take modeling seriously, no one is going to take you seriously. The model is terrible, granted it's your first attempt at plane modeling, so that's expected. Find more and better references and start over. If you're not going to be patient enough to put effort into then don't bother to continue modeling.

Also topic needs a prefix. Do it right next time or I'll delete the thread.

It's also an MP5-A4, not an M5-A4... Not sure if that was a typo...

Okay, I shall start again, but like you said, I'll put more time into it because I've got a lot to learn.

I advise you take improve your grammar as well. Modeling takes a lot of time, but the summer is coming up so you should have plenty of time to learn the basics if you are truly interested.

That gun looks awful. How could you possibly realistically fuck up the normals on the front and rear of the gun like that? That model looks like it went through a crappy exporter/importer to be honest.

If the model is actually yours, then please trash it and watch a few of these tutorials (http://www.modacity.net/forums/showthread.php?t=9324). In particular, watch this one (http://www.moddb.com/tutorials/23868/beretta-9000-video-tutorial)and this one (http://www.moddb.com/tutorials/24143/creating-a-weapon-for-source).

I'm pretty sure the way you rendered it didnt help show the details, try reading one of the stickied threads in this section to get better more crisp renders.

I gotta admit, smoothing is off and it doesnt look great, its a start though.

Well here's am update on my MP5-A4, as you can see i've added the screws and have also done the part ready for a strap, on the sight's i have gone into alot more detail and which has tooken me about 4-5 hours to just do the sights also if you look thru the sights it is pretty much the same as the actual MP5-A4

and also on the tip of the gun when it is finished it will have another sight, a round sight with another little sight in the middle which you see on the end of pistols

There are errors everywhere. It's Pretty much beyond repair, and you should start over. To be honest...

Also, take higher rez, better renders! When you press F9 theres a little floppy disk and simply put a .jpg after the name of the picture! So you save the renders quality, make sure to drag the quality all the way up.

Did you watch the Barretta (sorry if I misspelled that, but, if you type it into Google, it will autocorrect it) 9000 modeling tutorial?

Most of the details are not recognizable. Just practice, but as most have said, start over; if your foundation is bad, your model is/will be bad.
