This is a medium-sized symmetrical map with forerunner architecture built within. The map is made mainly for weapon combat and contains no vehicles. This is mostly due to its size. Designed for CTF, but is usable with any other gametype.

As this map is the first map I’ve released I’d very much like some feedback. Things like the way the map looks, gameplay, etc.

This map has not been protected. If you would like to use anything that I’ve made then feel free to.

If anyone finds any bugs can you post them in this thread. It will be a little too late to fix them, but I’d still like to know if anyone finds any ;)

Looks pretty slick, but those screenshots are sloppy in a few places. For example, the holograms on the panels look kind of randomly slapped on, why is there a teleporter in a perfectly square cut-out section of an ice wall, and why do the trees all line up perfectly?

Ok, got done testing and looking around.
Lots of tele's lol, couldn't find out were the "inside" part of the map was at first.
Forerunner was really good, but some textureing threw it off I think.
Besides all that stuff, pretty sweet and good lighting. +rep kk

I love the way you have made the snow, where it looks like it has just fallen. A lot of people miss that kind of detail out when making maps with a snow theme to them.

Really cool. I'll check this out sometime when my monitor isn't fubar. Someone should make a sticky with some of the better maps that were made lately.

I just downloaded and took a look around. After a minute or two of confused wandering, I figured out the layout, and I'm a big fan. =D I really like how you can either take the center route, hazarded by the sniper post, or the teleport/forerunner structure route, with helpful lighting along the way. Great job! I'd love to play on it sometime to see how it works in combat.

Looks really good. To be honest my only complaint is that you just have a box extruded and threw a teleporter shield in it... Other than that, from the screen shots, looks really well done.

I played this map with some friends and we noticed that with the radar on there was some huge blip on the radar that stayed in the same place.

the trees are TOO perfectly placed, try making their placement look more natural. something cut into the side of a section of icewall should ATLEAST be reinforced with some sort of forerunner style supports (gives a reason to WHY its a perfect square). and if you arrange the holo panels so they look legit try using just the one from the light bridge, it'll look good on it.

other than that good map, I'll DL it and see if my clan leader will add this to the map cycle of our server, she probably will

they wanted the "nature" on Halo to be Natural not artificial, just move them around abit and then it'll look natural

I see what you mean about the trees. They were placed like that for gameplay reasons. Originally they were placed more randomly but they often got in the way and made it harder to shoot from one end to the other. So I moved them closer to the edges to open up the map a little more.

I agree with the square-cut teleporters. I should have designed them better, or possibly used H2 style teleporters instead.

I've added a non .rar version of the map onto my first post for people who don't have a .rar extractor. Thanks again!

Well first off... I really hope you're not missing the MAJOR HINT that he's giving off... and secondly, after the trial runs out, it just keeps telling you that you should buy a copy, but you can close that window and it still works...

or just right click to extract to a destination or to extract to the immediate folder

Whoooaaa. That is an extremely well made map. Probably the best we have all seen in a LONG time, in gameplay thinking.

The textures are also used very well and UVW'ed well. The geometry looks natural and very nice and it seems to e populated well.

Excellent map. The shots of the map had me doubting but after running through the map a couple times I like the layout and the foreruner interiors are good keep at it.

I'm going to put this on the "Lancers Edge - Custom Maps 24/7 (http://lancersedge.exofire.net)" server for a couple days, Slayer/CTF rotation (suggest more game types if you want 'em).
