Hmm... I want to play Zombies on this map... Looks like the best Infection atmosphere since Blackout.

This map looks great, can't wait to get my hands on it.(Pre)order the Limited Edition version of Halo Wars then. You'll get your hands on the first set of Mythic maps on February 2 of next year, supposedly before everyone else.

I wouldn't pre-order a different game just to get a few maps a little bit earlier for another game.

True, but the Limited Edition version comes with not only the three new H3 maps (valued at $10), but a whole lot of other media, all for only, you guessed it, $10 more. If you ARE getting Halo Wars, then it is definitely the thing to do, but if not, just wait it out until they come out on their own.

Where the fuck is this map set?

It doesn't look forerunner, but, it does?

Anton

It's set on the space tether. The elevator thing. Humans ftw?

If you look out of it's windows you can see earth down below. (Read the text on the image if you can, I could barely make it out.)

It think it is human. The two glass windows in the second picture is probably space. Also there are human like objects like bolts and what I believe to be part of a ship in the window behind the hayabusa.

Jeez, Deehunter, take the time to at least read what you're posting beforehand. The article clearly states numerous facts about the level - simply open the file in any graphics program and zoom in. It doesn't take that much effort

I didn't even zoom in and read most of it. :\ lol.:)

Hotrod

Yeah, I read it, and it is indeed a human map.

And, 10$ more for Halo Wars, a 10$ map pack, and a bunch of extras? Seems like a good deal to me.

Yeah its the space tether that transports people and cargo to and from the atmosphere.

And the game is going to be $40 for 3 hours of campaign.. which is also built around flashbacks. You roam the city at night but you will have flash backs from what happened during the day.

EDIT: The magazine mentions the next game will be either halo 4 or a game bridging halo to marathon :awesome:

EDIT2: The map is completely open. Only the 4 flashbacks are linear and can be activated at any time. You get a PDA, Visual Mode, silenced SMG but lose shields, dual wielding, and the motion tracker. And youre much slower. So, you play as 'rookie' but play as his 4 squad mates during flashbacks.

Please be a bit more clear. Are you talking about Halo 3: Recon?

Everything in my post is about recon, except for where I said in the magazine they said the next game with the chief will either be 4, or a game bridging the two together.

I saw the scans elsewhere and I wasn't liking how it looked. Maybe I'm just being skeptical now after repeated disappointments. However, I remember Bungie alluding to elongation in the description of this map a while back, and it really does look like that. So at the moment it sounds like something I wouldn't want.

Everything pretty much. Worst map idea ever.

lol. Elongation was actually one of my favorite maps to play in Halo 2. Although I can really see where you're coming from.

Too many of the maps in Halo 1 were made haphazardly, and Longest was one of them, IMO.

Orbital looks cool. I always wondered what it'd be like inside one of the huge space tethers. Do you think Bungie will ever remake Ratrace?

No it doesn't, it just refers to those as being "popular theories running wild throughout the fanbase".

How many people here actually read the article?

I haven't read it, sadly, though I would really like to.

Also, I could have sworn that I posted what you just said like a week ago. :conspiracy:

I think the wires look retarded. Why is every wire dangling down so much or even exposed like that. I guess it's all about what looks badass anymore. :/

Hasn't it always been that way? The average person isn't going to point out design flaws in games...
