Warning: A small amount Halo 2 and Halo 3 content is in this map, along with delta cliffs, use these maps at your own risk. (Credits to Bungie)

Description:
This map, along with Delta Cliffs, was also sitting around in my map folder, and i was using it as my own UI. Its a decent
UI, Masterchief is standing on a cliff looking upon a destroyed city. This UI has some new Menu Buttons and bitmaps to make it
unique.

So i present to you, Ruined Earth!

Map Description:

Delta Cliffs was originally going to be released with my Campaign Halo:Covenant Encloser (most of you know it as delta halo)
with a halo 2 weapons set.The map has been sitting in my folder for a few months, and seeing that it wasnt going to be released,
why put that work to waste? I removed the halo 2 weapons (i doubt i will make a future update, but who knows), the map is very slightly unfinished texture wise, you will notice some hallways are a bit plain. Also Banshee had to be removed due to gameplay issues.

So i present to you, Delta Cliffs!

Could you possibly add in a Campaign option for the UI? That would make it a lot better than it already is.lol.

I'll check out Delta Cliffs when I have the time.

Nice looking UI you have there :-) Off the top of my head (been a while since i've done this), to add campaign as a button open up tags\ui\main_menu\main_menu_select_list.ui_widg... scroll down to the bottom, and duplicate the campaign child widget. It seems like all they did to remove it was disable the first child widget in that tag.

Is the MC like in a posed scenery mode, or is it part of the bsp?

Yeah, couldnt you make him breathe like on h3 by him being animated scenery?

I Would, but ui doesn't support any model animations
, you can add them in, even script them in, but they wont play

in an earlier prototype of this map, i had banshees that were suppost to fly around, but they didn't. Unless i did something wrong :|, ill check

You can have animated shaders (halo ring texture moving around) but you can't have animated anything else.

its the camera tricking your eye, unless its animated shaders

looks like I found a replacement to my yoyorast island UI (which has been my UI since like a year or year and a half ago).

looks good, the mis-positioned weapon on the Chief's back is nothing big as people are more likely to click the other buttons

EDIT: no campaign option *sad face*

oh well, it would have been nice to have that, but seeing the UI shows you put alot of effort into it and you really shouldn't be assed to re-make it with a campaign option

I cant remember how to remove the update prompt, all the UI's ive used always had it, except polar's Library UI, so it didnt even come to mind, some one give me a tutorial, and i will release a v2 in the next few days

I had a tutorial for it in a UI I uploaded that doesn't have the update prompt in it, but it seems to be taken down o_o. I'll see if I can remember how to do it - iirc you only need to redirect a couple of widgets from the update prompt to the game lobby/map select screen.

Edit - Searching is awesome:

Open up: "ui\shell\main_menu\multiplayer_type_select\multipl ayer_type_join_internet_item.ui_wid..."
Scroll down to the event handlers tab. Under 'widget tag' replace the directory to "ui\shell\main_menu\multiplayer_type_select\join_ga me\join_game_screen". Hit the drop down box at the top of the event handlers tab and select the second one, and replace the widget tag there too.
That'll make it so when you click or hit enter, the internet multiplayer button will take you straight to the lobby.

You'll also need to change the create internet widget too. Open up:
...\multiplayer_type_select\multiplayer_type_creat e_internet_item.ui_wid..."
Same drill, scroll down to the event handlers part. Except this time leave the first one as is, and use the drop down box at the top to select the second event handler. Change the 'widget item' to
"ui\shell\main_menu\multiplayer_type_select\connect ed\connected_map_select_wrapper"
That'll mean that when you hit Create Internet, it'll bring you straight to the map select screen. Save and compile, and you're done! :)
Always nice to know that someone, somewhere every six months will have a UI related question that I can answer ;D

I threw this in, and I have to say its ok, but the stiff as a sheet of metal MC scares me to some extent, I know you cant animate him so I understand the limitations there.
