Or Tributary of Lost Souls 2. But I prefer Valkryie. There really isn't much now. Actually there's a load of stuff, but I don't feel like showing it right as of this minute. There is much work to be done. Perfect FPS. Classic release.

It's Halo Themed. Upgraded. It's simple. It doesn't have a multi-load of flashing colors. But it looks and plays nice. It's fun. That's all I can really say. More pictures and content coming soon.

Indeed it's entirely indoors! But there are broken structures, and areas that represent something that was supposed to be outside.

Ah, no custom weapons, it's a classical Halo Map. But I am redoing the original textures in high res. No betas for now.

i dunno i reckon u might want something More uplifting the lvl looks to me like an assault from one base trying to break into the other with the tunnels and wat not.

so i'd try and put in something like in the campain when u open the doors and walk out side into the snow.
mb "rock anthem for saving the world" from the Sound track but have it toned down a bit. :) i reckon that'd own your tryign to break into the others base and u got made Rock music and solo's following u :)

The bottom area, the original tributary, has been dumped in favor of a classic redesign. Getting the bloom effect working exactly as it should, without interference from crossing the lens flare, is quiet harder than I thought, but I think I've managed it now.

I second this suggestion. Backpack weapons would be the proverbial icing on the even more proverbial flashy dynamically-lit cake.

The dynamic lighting and high-res textures look very nice. Will there be any recognizable rooms (as in, armory, cafeteria, bathroom, operations centre with lotsa fancy screens, rooms like that)?

I love how the dynamic lights actually make the bump maps visible, unlike how normal Halo maps just have the sun, which doesn't act as a light at all...

However, I must say, the hole looks like it needs something to go around it, it's just too much "wall, wall, wall, wall, HOLE, wall, wall, wall, wall..." It needs some damage around it.

kill me but im stating my opinion

doesnt look that fun. the usual small CE map that is virtually unplayanle due to nade spam. caves are way to dark and small, should be more like rat race's caves.

the only good small map IMO was no remorse, and tensity with 6 people.

Also not putting a game type on with infinite nades, thats the only time i can think of that nades would be a issue. I am looking forward to this awesome map still :D

I fail to see how an abundance of grenades makes a map 'unplayable'. I've yet to see a map cease to function in terms of gameplay due to grenades.

by unplayable i ment "not fun" i play halo to have fun, i try to make my maps a s fun as i possibly can

one reason why i dont like the narrow path ways is if somebody stops to type and your behind them in a cave with the flag or something, your screwed. thats just what came to my mind when i saw the caves

yo man it's clear u havnt played Halo in the Cyberslam aussie servers in a while lol.
3-4 maps in a row are completely destroyed by nade spam.... seriously if u get in the right position i've had Entire Teams (in a full server) wait for Spawn.
it's really gay.

Look at the screenshots and tell me it's a completely dark map. There are dark areas, but there are also heavily lighted areas, for the point of contrast. I've rendered this map at a much brighter lightmap, and it looks terrible. It's not a bad stragety to bust out your flashlight.

My only suggestion is you seem to have the glows in some random placfes, but dont remember where. And a couple are a little too strong in-game.

almost all of the ones by windows. The map is way to bright interior wise to have blooms like that in light.,....seems unrealistic...maybe a darker lightmap.

A little update! Final release is soon. Updated shaders, more optimized FPS, and such.

I added a self illumination animation to the top floor wall shader.

I'm taking into suggestion any views in the map that are inaccessible (but can be seen, such as a waterfall), and if anyone has worked on, or has higher resolution bitmaps for the weapons and the chief, they would be a lovely addition to this map. Higher res would be 1024 instead of 512, or 512 instead of 256, etc. The bland look of the chief and weapons don't fit the map too well. They need to be more detailed.

I'm not sure if I like what you've done with the walls. The self illum is nice, but it's an odd pattern and I can't really make sense of it.

Any suggestions with the pattern? I can whip up a few pattern designs and see which one fits best, or remove it all together.

can u use the basic unsc hall tex? it would look good with it. also for some reason the intersection of the the bottom railing(or whatever you call it) is bothering me...can you fix that?

And I want to see some pics of these inaccessible areas D: (TF2 did these really well. I'd have a look at that if you want some inspiration).
