Tell him to clean out the receiver really well, the cosmoline finish ('Soviet puke') tends to get in there and make the bolt stick. Best cleaned with a metal brush while hot, I'm told.

Man, you should've seen the shitstorm of "my country beats your country" comments on this video I found from a Russian show which played the Abrams off against the T-90. I don't speak Russian but I assume the T-90 won, mainly on the basis of some tests they apparently referred to in the show. Someone must've realised that they'd dared to rate something Russian over something American, because HO-LY SHIT did things ever get nasty.

Funny though. One of the Russian guys posting said that they'd run the T-90 against the M1 over obstacles and the M1's tracks broke while the T-90 was pulling off massive jumps (yes, jumps in a tank) and running over broken ground like it was nothing. Gotta hand it to the Russians, they always have the simplest yet toughest stuff around...

Maybe because the Russians use smaller increments on their tracks. I'd think that the larger pads on the Abrams would do better on most terrain, but I guess not. I've also seen several videos of epic Abrams jumps. I'll see if I can find one.

Also, epic instrumentals in the song in that video :D

EDIT: Not an Abrams, but it's probably around what the Abrams could do.
