Tried adding more portals it didn't help. If I remove the sand that stretches out into the distance the map compiles but then there won't be any water out their and it will look retarded.

How big is the map your trying to light? I was getting the same error and i solved the problem but i'm not totally sure your issue.
Oh. do you have horizontal portals?

Yeah the map is yoyorast island. I managed to fix this error more or less by reducing the size of the map and portaling the entire thing.
