View Full Version : WTF BALLS!

Ok, after playing online for like 2 weeks I've already seen like 7 "ghost players" and even players on my team that were the wrong color and were considered enemy's but I could not kill them.

I just finished a game of snipers with a guy who was not even on the list and floated around without walking. He even shot the sniper at 45 degree angles and melee'd me facing the wrong way without even animating.

WTF BALLS! :saddowns:

I had 50 ping and this happened the entire game. If it was lag they would still show up on the scoreboard too. It's almost like they are "ghosts" of players. Hence the ghosts of lockout and shit. It's also annoying. There are a lot of periods in this post. I don't know why.

Generally its random. Mainly though I've had it happen real bad in a XF CTF server on Waterworks and it seems to happen a lot on relic. Probably its probably just coincidence though.

Hax?

I don't think they would use hax just to make themselves not animate. That seems useless.

Networking glitch, most likely. Keep in mind that a lot of the core functionality of Blam 2 was retained in the port. It happened on the XBox version, and I would suspect it to happen more frequently on the PC since much more can be different between two machines.

Inferno - sorry to hear about this happening in an XF server. We try very hard to police the people who come in to our servers using programs to alter themselves or the game play.

So you recall when you were playing and had this happen? I'd like to track down some things based on when this happened to you.

If this happens again, please get some fraps of it so we can start working on a solution. I have heard of what your talking about, but have never seen it, especially not in our servers. There are other servers in which hacks are allowed and used widely. Which is fine if that's where it stays. Once it starts coming our way, that's a big problem.
