Whats the TDR Hog?
Team Death Race's Warthog. I edited the regular hog and added some interesting things to it, like dual chainguns in the front instead of the turret in the back, took out the passenger seat, and other simple stuff.

Here's a few pics:

Why joo leaving us?
I pretty much left because Geo was. He reminded me (but didn't say) that Halo is an old game, and that i'm kinda wasting my time with it. So I might go to Source, just play games from now on, or go to the dreaded real world. Only time can tell now. (atleast deleting all of my shit for CE cleared like 5 or 6 gigs off of my HDD)

So yeah, i'll still be playing CE, but i'm officially done doing shit for it.

Psh, like it matters its an old game. I hear this excuse from a lot of people who do something and think they are actually developers who are to good for this game.

If you like Halo, stick with halo, don't go run off to some other game because it's "better".

I never said I was high and mighty, and I sure as hell didn't say I was a developer, but I just decided to move on to something else.

I like Halo, but the modding part is too time consuming for me, and I want to do other things.

I know you are thinking about the same thing man, so don't go off on me for going somewhere else, and thinking that I made up excuses.

Like another newer game that requires more time and work?

And I wasn't singling you out in particular for being one of "those" people. It's just that I see alot of people that do that.

Dennis has said this before on Halomaps.org, "Halo Custom Edition has been dying since it first came out. Just like all other games. I am surprised that it's lasted this long."

Seeing as that, the ship's been sinking for a long time. But that's still not why I left.

Funnily enough I went on the CE v1.0 and there was 500 players with only 100 servers. Literally all of the servers had players in.

Now all we need is a virus that makes the computers of blood sucking CE pirates explode :saddowns:

What's killing it is the fact people care more about community recognition and being professional and trying to go somewhere in life with it than having fun.

When H2CE had dedicated servers up, Halo CE was doing pretty well. I think the H2CE/CMT Coag era was the most prosperous, player-wise.

to me it doesn't matter how old the game is, or how many people play it. I think its excellent that the game is released so openly, and players can make their own content. Its fun to create, and it teaches you a lot about the art and science of video game design. It is an excellent experience for anyone who is interested. And besides, even if no one plays your mod, you can always say its yours. Its permenently in your portfolio, whether your going to try and go somewhere with it in life, or your just having fun.

Sad to see you go Plague.

As for the fact Halo is a dying place. Yes it is, its fading out, but does that mean we cant create content for it? Hell no does it. If the game has 2 players, you can still develop on it, you can still have fun in it.

Its completely how you consider having fun and why you create content. If you create content for the recognition and the glory then your doing it for the wrong reason, and these are the people that are leaving.

My development for Halo has slowed down recently, due to big projects I'm working on and I have little extra time. But that doesnt mean I still dont love Halo and love making things for it.

It will always remain one of the best games for me, just because of what it has become and what has been accomplished.

People should never forget their roots, and I sure wont.

Another thing could be the fact that we are all similar ages (maybe?) and are getting caught up in college and other things all at the same time. I know that's one reason I don't really play anymore. When I was a carefree kid (i.e. had no life) in High School it was different .

It's been a loooong time since CE was first released. The fact that people are still creating more content for it, even today, just shows how timeless the damn game is.
