I dunno if anyone else here mods it, but I do and as it's a pretty awesome game it could use its own section anyway, for discussion at the very least. Would it really hurt to add one?

people actually play that?

Not enough people play or mod it... There should be a "Other games" section since lots of modding discussion would be unnecessary in Tech talk.

Your computer can actually run STALKER? lol.

Also yeah, "Other Games" Section was part of my forum layout plan where did it go??? :saddowns:

"Other Games" under General Game Discussion? I was tempted to put it there after the last organization. I guess the only thing would be that people should TAG their threads with what game it is for. Anyone think this would be a bad idea?

Yeah, just make a sticky reminding them to use the tags and it should be fine.

tags is a good idea.

Or add the ability for anyone to add tags to a thread.

I bought the first stalker the other day, the game seems ok but the characters models and textures really piss me off. They don't match the visuals of the rest. Clear Sky looks much better though.

No, tagging the thread is the thread starter's job

I think its a great idea! If we do, we won't have to spam up the Tech Talk section! :awesome:

While we're moving stuff around how about we throw source games under Halo CE and have sections in there for the ones that matter (tf2 and l4d) and then an other source games section for everything else.

Character models and textures are pretty much the same in Clear sky, only with different (crappier) animations. There really isn't a point to having a STALKER section, considering that the game's modding scene is dead thanks to the fact that there was no SDK released for Clear sky.

SoC's modding scene is still going as far as I can tell, as it does have an SDK (no idea why CS doesn't, but oh well). It's actually pretty moddable too, I created a whole new ammo class and so on by just stuffing about in notepad. If I'm the only one, though, an 'other games' section would be fine.

By SoC I take you mean Shadow of Chernobyl? That game really did need modding, the SP isn't that fun by itself. I looked into trainers to spice up the game a bit, but I haven't seen any mods for it. What can be done in this game to give it more excitement?

guns that actually hit what you point them at
new quests
new enemies with new abilities (including the long-armed whatthechrist)
the ability to cultivate anomalies (fucking serious, farm the fuckers)
etc, etc.

not sure if new map sections or whole new story characters can be done but i haven't seen any yet; pity, because that would own
