Hey there, a few friends and I have been working on a map for school and I was wondering what you kids thought of it.

There are three of us working on the map. We've had like three weeks to do this, it's not done yet... but yea. We should have a final version done on saturday. (That's when its due for my class)

At this point we aren't allowed to change any of the art anymore, (textures, models, materials... none of that stuff) all we can really do now is fix/change particles and add more statics to the scene (not new ones to the package, just cloning already existing ones that we made.)

Everything here was made from scratch (aside from UT3 weapons and that kind of stuff.... but.. yea)

textures are horrendous. They need to be tailored directly to the gemoetry, rather than the gemoetry dictating what photo sources are being slapped on.

looks more like a high poly q3 map.
The gameplay looks like it could be interesting though.

We worked our asses off on this thing for this month and I'm happy with how it turned out.

I'll be tossing up a video of it soonish, as soon as I can get my editing software to agree with Fraps's output *sigh*

We also had exploding crates and airtanks, big fireball followed by shrapnel flying out. Crates were the same minus the fire lol.

Again, we only had a month to work on it, and there was only three of us.... so there's only so much we can do haha.

The textures still look terrible :/

Looking a lot better I have to say. Really good stuff, and, as Anton says, get that video up.

The only thing I'd say that could still use a tune up is that rusted metal texture on the ventilation/piping in shot 11 along with some other minor ones.

Great stuff overall, though!

Nice level...

Btw -- Lighting means a LOT to textures these days... you can't really tell if something will look like crap until you see it lit.
