View Full Version : Play old Mac games on Windows through emulation

So, I did some reasearch on this and found out how to play old games (Pathways Into Darkness, Marathon Beta, ETC) on my XP system. In case anyone here didn't know, I figured I'd share.

You need to follow these instructions:

You're going to need the files from the description,

You'll need to download this start disk:
http://www.emaculation.com/articles/starterdisk.zip
and enable it in the GUI to be able to access the files.

From there, you'll need to install Stuffit Expander 5.5 from the disk to your system.

Use the Stuffit Expander to unzip the SIT files containing the game data.

Pathways Into Darkness:

Marathon Beta (more like pre-pre-pre alpha if you ask me):

I'm sure there's other old Bungie games on MacintoshGarden.org. Just in case anybody wanted the chance to play those old, old, old games when they were just starting out.

The irony is that probably means that OS9 apps runs better on Windows than on OSX.

I would have so laughed if halo 2 pc had been for mac's only because it would have caused even more of a shitstorm than vista only.

What was that game where you play as a mouse, and have to solve things to open walls? I remember playing it back in elementary school, and it was awesome.
