Ok so I have a POS HD4650 and it really kind of sucks, it's not on any of the charts at TomsHardware, and there's really no info about it anywhere.

So I'm looking to upgrade and I'm willing to spend up to $300 or $350 on the new video card/s (if it's better to crossfire).

Any suggestions? I am so lost looking at charts and crap.

EDIT: I'm looking at the GeForce GTX 275 OC 896 MB GDDR3 PCIe Graphics Card for about $200. Is this good or whats a little higher end than this?

Maybe buy a couple 4890's or a 4870x2, or wait for the 5800 series?

wait for the 5800 series?
I would do this.

Do you know what the price range of the 5800 series is gonna be? I'm looking to spend no more than like $350 on it.

If you want to, wait until both Nvidia and ATI release their new cards, the current-gen cards will most likely have a price cut.

If you're willing to spend up to $350, you probably should wait for the HD 5800 series to launch as ATi has great overall performance while trying to cut the price down.

This also, but with the money you have, just go for the next gen.

HD 5850. Comes out soonish. Go check my thread. (http://www.modacity.net/forums/showthread.php?t=18028) Get it when it comes out.

Nvidia isn't going to be releasing shit for quite a while. Trust me.

I've heard estimates for Nvidia's release dates to be a month after ATI to next year, but I'm probably looking at their entire lineup, not just their performance cards.

This (http://www.semiaccurate.com/2009/09/01/nvidia-roadmaps-turn/) would be pretty hilarious on it's own.

But I think Nvidia has reached a new level of lulz. (http://www.semiaccurate.com/2009/09/15/nvidia-gt300-yeilds-under-2/)

You'll be waiting a while for your NV card. On top of that, you'll pay up the ass for something that ties ATI 6 to 9 months after the fact.

Go with the HD5850.

I think nVidia should just stop right now. Then they should sell their company cheaply to ATi (as ATi are obviously doing a better job in the long-term), and profit ensues.

I hope they start making games more optimized to work better for ATI cards instead of vice-verse.

Wish ATI did some stuff for their Stream.
