View Full Version : H2 vista compatable with Vista beta RC1?

Hey I really have no idea if it will run on the RC1 of vista, if it wont, that means ill need to go burn a 179.99 for an upgrade:(

anyone know?

i don't know, my guess is go buy the home basic if you don't have that much money.

It probably will run, but regardless of whether or not it does, you're going to have to upgrade. The release candidates have a timebomb that will go off on June 1, 2007 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/preview.mspx), rendering the version of Windows completely nonfunctional. Remember, it's not free software, it's for testing and evaluation only.

Also, as a note on the upgrade. In order to upgrade, you must have an older version of Windows installed on your computer. Unlike the Windows XP setup (and earlier), you cannot put in an older Windows installation CD during setup to check that you already bought it. Yes, it's a real hassle they've made it, but what can you do about it? Also, I recommend buying an OEM version of Windows Vista, especially if you're on a budget.
