I need to convert an 8bit .wav file to a 16bit .wav file. Anyone know how?

Import the wav in an editor, export it as a 16 bit wav. I think Audacity can do it, but it may export as 24 bit over 16 bit.

There are lots of applications out on the net that can do this, considering .wav is a very popular format. Google seemed to bring many results for converters and there was a lot of information on the file format structure. What do you need to convert for?

I just stuck it into Windows Sound recorder. That seemed to work for my purposes.

INB4 Lock.
