Seriously, stop locking threads because they might turn into a shitstorm. It's irritating as hell when there's actually some opportunity to discuss something other than celebrities or TV or whatever other inane bullshit we're usually stuck with, but someone's come howling in from on high and locked the fucking shit out of it. Quit using locks to try and avoid upsetting your internet friends by actually having to do your job and infract them. The only reasons to lock a thread are if it's spam, if it's completely worthless or redundant, or if it has turned into such a shitstorm that it's no longer even the slightest bit on topic (ALTHOUGH MAYBE IF YOU DID YOUR JOBS AND PENALISED INDIVIDUALS THAT WOULDN'T HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE). Until then, warn and infract people. If it kills you that much to impartially own the shit out of everyone for misbehaving, you're in the wrong job.

apparently you're p safe from mod punishment on are forum!!!

And to clarify, yes this is in response to the lockage of the GW thread. There were straight-up fucking flames in there, yet nobody was punished and the thread was locked before anyone else could get a word in.

I agree completely. It seems like there isn't really any standard for the moderators around here. Or not much of one. Seems like different moderators act in different ways, tollerate different things, and handle situations differentally.

Dear rossmum,

you don't have access to the mod forum and thus have no idea what is going on. plz stop spergin' out and making demands like other members you have put to flames when it served you.

E: this isn't a pre-emptive lock, there's simply not a community discussion here.
