Isn't it just weird that they just don't make their OS secure but instead have to create an 'add on package' to reach security http://www.filecatchers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/shok.gif

Yes, last week's news. I downloaded it an am using it so that MS stops complaining that I don't have anti-virus software installed. Even though I don't get viruses, because for the most part I'm not stupid about what I download & execute. As such, I can't really comment about how well it is / isn't work, because for the most part it seems to be not doing anything at all. I guess that is a good thing :-)

I'm installing it now to see myself. I also get the no security message. lol
So it's confirmed, I now can get rid of that stupid message and this technically is a security message fix LMAO.

I just disabled the notifications about anti-virus/malware software through Windows when I had that problem... AVG is supported in the RTM release of Windows 7 though, as it seems.

AVG is detected and I don't get a security message on build 7100.

Believe it or not...there is an option for it to turn it off.

I never understood why Microsoft wouldn't do Security Programs...of course they are playing Monopoly again but the integration would be so much easier. I don't want any 3rd parties to install any drivers in my Kernel mode.:maddowns:

One of the earlier builds didn't detect it, probably one of the pre-public beta builds I had...
