Anyone heard this before? It's a song that's been going for 9 years (since 2000) and will continue playing without end until the year 3000. I guess they have people on shifts...

Good luck Longplayer :downs:

You wouldn't.

I've never heard of it until now, but that's a neat idea. Thanks for sharing this Shamisen :)

Like, are they just doing the glass of water trick with huge bowls?

Yeah, I guess it's easier than having people jammin' with guitars for 1000 years.

They'll probably replace the staff with machines when we invent creative computers that don't make shitty music.

Actually, reading the faq thing, it's being done with computers right now. They spent 4 years developing how this would work out from what i've read, so it's all been pre-planned by some kind of equation...

Whoa, I didn't check out the FAQ. That's pretty amazing actually.

Wow. This is really cool. From what I can gather, computers are performing it at the moment, but it is theoretically possible to perform it with humans, if you have enough bowls.

Edit: Dammit, I need to refresh before posting. Sniped by a few minutes.

Would really suck if there was a power cut long enough that it knocked the computers out.

neat

e: been listening to it for more than an hour now. It's soothing and unnerving at the same time. Excellent ambient music. I wonder if one could put it in a videogame...

ee: i wonder if one could create a videogame whose levels were generated on a similar principle... it would be interesting to have a game that never, ever, repeated. Every time you loaded a level (the level?) it would be different and no two people would ever have the same experience...

This music is creepy as fuck, I'm picturing its the year 2999 and its Christmas day. The only sounds left on the earth is this music. Then the year 3000 hits and the world is silent for all of 5 seconds, then it explodes.
