So is there any way I could import a frag grenade from Halo 2 Vista into 3D's max?

I'm a huge beginner to 3D modeling and I have no idea how the Halo 2 Vista Map Editor works aswell.

UPDATE: I found this on the internet.

The thing is, it only works for Google Sketchup but I want to import into 3Ds MAX.

Is there anyway I/someone could convert the model to a 3ds MAX user-friendly format? :)

Yea, I use scripts that are written for 3DS Max (version 8) to import weapons and other objects from Halo into Max. BTW, most objects are imported from Halo CE and Halo 2 (XBox) instead of H2V.

Here is a tutorial that will help you find the right apps/tools/plugs/scripts:

If you find that you still cannot extract the nade yourself then just ask. And again, version 8 of Max is the most compatible. If that is not what you have, there is always the 30-day trial of 3DS Max 8.
