Hello all, today I decided to release my High poly and low poly Halo Reach assault rifle.

If you do not know what to do with the high poly, don't touch it.
The low poly is NOT unwrapped, so you guys are going to have to do that. Currently I am unwrapping it to the ripped Halo Reach textures and will be releasing that as a separate release in a few days. Anyways here are renders of the low/high poly models. Hope they get used, enjoy. =)
*Btw, this was really my first high/low poly model, so I haven't baked it yet*

I can't open it. What version of .max did you save it as? I use 3ds max 8 for use of Blitzkrieg.

You're low poly is way too low poly. You're lacking quite a few major details which now make the gun look overly bland and just not good-looking at all.

And normal maps won't help. Even if you "fake" bump it if somebody will put it in HCE. But its probably left for a 3p model cause it lacks detail like ODX said

The ripped low poly has detail, that this low poly doesn't, so I can match it to bungie. So if you dislike this one because it's to low.. Well you can either take my high poly and make it as low poly as you wish. Or wait for the ripped textured one to come out. The shape and major object will remain the same. So no changes there.

Edit: btw look at bungies ripped textures. It shows that there aren't many polies in there model either. (nobs and stuff are baked).

Any update on this? I'm trying to get a Halo Reach AR nice enough to release to the public in-game. In other words, I think it would be nice to have some of this stuff out for others to use at will. If anyone has any Reach Nade Launcher textures they would like to donate....
