it should be documents\halo 2\maps

remember there's a filter in the in-game menus

When all else fails you can still download them in-game from a custom map server.

Just arrange your server browser by custom map servers first to see what is currently available.

Just download it, un-zip/rar it and put it in (my)documents\halo 2\maps. Then start the game and try a local custom game/map, that map ought to be there and the mapname could differ from the filename. BigAss.map could be called 'My sisters big ass' ingame, so they can differ.

C'mon, you act like you've never touched a game/mouse/kb before.. i think there's probably even a description about this in the booklet that came with the game.. can't recall if there's filters in the H2V-browser like in Halo1.
