I post some of this back on gbx a while ago. you can view some older screenshots over there (http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=57648&highlight=freight) although the overhead view is much different now. the caf is still there but i've changed the layout a bit. here are some more recent renders

Reminds me slightly of that "Shockwave" map, but looks good nonetheless. :)

Make sure to cubemap/make stuff shiny, or it will look bland. Throw some scenery lights in there and have fun making our FPS burn.

And some totally dark areas lit only by muzzle flashes, plasma fire and sparks. All with dynamic lighting, or I will eat you. And don't use performance as an excuse, even my ancient 5200 only drops the framerate by about 10FPS when I enable dynamic on absolutely everything.

those are renders not ingame shots the shaders and textures are all original bungie ones so everything looks normal

Are those renders? If so, be aware that those red lights are actually scenery/devices/or lightfixtures. U don't need to model that.

Otherwise, nice stuff. Looking really good.

uh...no. they are bitmaps that are applied to the bsp that have a shader and emit light. it's been ingame already anyway

oh and ross i may end up making a small area that's just pitch black with sparks and other cool stuff :P

im curious as to the layout myself. Can you post a big overhead shot of the map?

don't have a completed one yet, i'm trying to make this as exact to bungies models as i can so there's a bit of detail and it's quite time consuming but i'll show one soon as i get it done

Are those blast doors with controls still going in?

Oh snap!

:p

I wish Halo's netocode was better - on some Source custom maps (as well as some HL2DM ones) people have made controls that lock down bunkers and then nuke the people outside. It'd be cool in this if you could lock off a section then vent it into space or something. :D

Should be possible, seeing as people have managed to sync a lot of other stuff online as well... and it would be awesome. :)
