I saw this tonight, and highly recommend it as it was well done in my opinion. I recorded the post-credit scene that everyone knew there would be:

Watch it while you can before paramount files a Copyright claim and it's taken down!

Haven't seen the film yet, and I haven't kept up with the comic lore in well over a decade, so I don't get the box 'o goodies.

I've read the Thor game is pretty weak, but hey, you can't really expect much with a game released with the movie...

That post-credit scene makes absolutely no sense to me...

Maybe Charlie Sheen will pop out of it once they "tap" it's power...

All I know is I saw pictures of Thors hammer and it was totally lame. I thought it would be a big fat two handed jobby, nope more like a mallet.

Mjolnir has always been a one handed hammer IIRC.

My point still stands, when I hear of Thor, I always think his godly hammer. Not some crappy small hammer thats only using for hammering in tent pegs.

Mjolnir is not a War Maul, its a Battle Hammer.

B-b-but I thought Mjolnir was Chief's armor

Now you figure out which is which.

It's not the size of the weapon, but how you use it.

Its a hammer...it is literally all about the weight and size.

Though tbh, a bigass hammer wouldnt be as kickass in a fight, it would be too sluggish.

Hey guys, Mjolnir is a magical battle-hammer so this is all irrelevant!!

Seeing it tomorrow, this movie is #2 on my must-sees this summer (#1 is Green Lantern, I'm generally more of a DC fan than a Marvel fan)

I used to like DC more than Marvel until they did such a fantastic job with Iron Man. By far my favorite super hero now, but when I was younger and reading Iron Man comics I never really "got" the Tony Stark side of him. Meaning the womanizer megalomaniac.

Its actually all about small hammers with long handles. It allows you to place more force on the impact than with a shorter handle, and a heavy head is simply too unwieldly.

TL;DR small hammers work best ;P

Only you would know about how your small hammer works

Um yeah. Its quite useful for hammering nails, tacks, and other assorted items I use to construct things or hang things around the house.

Isn't it Mjölnir for Thor's hammer and MJOLNIR (Powered Assault Armor) for Halo? I dunno... minor discrepancy.

Anyway, i really liked this movie, i didn't have any expectations before going to see it on its week of release, but it kinda blew me away. It was funny, action packed and actually made Thor a likable character much more than he is in the comics anyway. Atleast they didn't go the way of the Ultimate universe Thor... he's a dick!
