3.6 Earth masses, they're not talking about size. Which means Ex was right in the first place; The gravity is stronger.

We build massive orbital stations around the planet just above the atmosphere and compensate for the increased gravity. Oh, but we'd need tech which costs money. Oh, but we don't have money either. At least we got the brains....oh, wait.

So long as the gravity was earth normal or slightly more (to the point where we could actually stand upright and walk around), and assuming we somehow got settlers there and it was similar to earth... Then we'd be fine, those who lived their lives there would basically be forced to workout until they got used to the new gravity and then they'd be fine.

i'd imagine we'd have a ship which have artificial gravity, which would gradually increase over the course of the entire journey, letting people 'evolve' to adapt to it i suppose.
