Well he is taking the opportunity because it is his time to shine.

Every time I hear this :coldwar: :russia: :missile: :defense: thing my brain gets catapulted back into the past...like if someone is pulling the handbrake on the progress of mankind. Seriously, as if Russia is making any effort to threaten anyone.

Russia is just fighting for their interests like everyone else.

US, Canada and Russia should unite into one being. We will call it super Alaska. And it will be murder.

When your country is filled with anarchists it's hard to trust some people with anything more than a sponge.

Actually a legitimate point lol. After those riots over a guy getting shot by the police while trying to like, stab them, I can understand this.

Pfff, the USA doesn't trust its citizens to own guns. They would love to get rid of the Second Amendment.

@TVTyrant: taking advantage of the Amendment since it's there.

the soviet union (post-stalin) never had any aggressive intentions towards the west. their plans were all defensive and contingent upon being attacked first; iirc no nuclear weapons would've fallen west of the rhine or thereabouts since they would only have wanted to destroy the bulk of nato forces, not the civilisations themselves. of course if the us went for their homeland, the story would've been different, but again it hinged on defence. the cold war was the biggest shitpile of human stupidity and paranoia on both sides and should never have happened, and the fact there are still people around the world who see russia as "the bad guys" when there weren't any fucking good or bad guys in the cold war just shows how fucking retarded humanity is.

in fact i'd trust russia to be world police more than i would the us. at least everyone knows russia is still corrupt and plagued with social problems, they don't try and sit on it like the us.

this is true of the overwhelming majority of the world's countries i hope you realise.

also as far as the us goes, 'land of the free' is a sadly departed thing. the us is corrupt to the core, harps on about morality and international law while grossly violating both on a regular basis for as long as anyone can remember, and swings its military power about like an angry drunk looking for someone to pick a fight with. russia is also all three of these things but at least it only takes swings at the guys it went drinking with. also the last time they invaded a country it was entirely justified and legal, and of course the us backed the side that was in the wrong to the hilt. good work america. meanwhile the last time the us invaded something justifiably was afghanistan, and who else remembers when america invaded a nation of the fucking british commonwealth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grenada) just because they turned red? how many people even remember what grenada was about, let alone realise just how fucking shitty it is to invade a part of your closest ally's commonwealth just because their politics went a way you don't like for stupid reasons?

basically what i'm saying is, anyone who thinks america is in any way better than any other country is fucking delusional

i just stopped by to remind everyone that america is, in actuality, probably one of the most fucked up countries on earth to counteract the lifelong brainwashing people seem to receive on the matter. america itself is cool, i like america, i just hate the ignorance and self-righteous stupidity that pervades the government, the education system, and well pretty much everything i guess

europe is no better, pretty much all the countries people hold up as socialist wonderlands are wannabe police states (or already are)

as someone who enjoys his guns, basically the entire of western and central europe is ruined for me as a place to live. actually i think the only truly gun-friendly country in europe which isn't an unruly shitheap is the czech republic (no surprises there, those fuckers love their guns). even if you hate guns though, you'd want to hate your rights, your privacy, and your wallet to live in europe these days

America won't let us have fun, most Europe is as bad if not worse than America economically, China is overpopulated, one of the Korea's won't let you leave, the other one doesn't like you, Japan is full of "what", the middle-east is still a shit-fest, Africa is just awkward if you are white, same with South and Central America, Russia is too cold, and Canada just seems boring. Fuck Earth, I'm going to the moon.
50% of what you said is wrong :S

me and n00b watch on average 2 hours a night of Starcraft 2 streamed live from South Korea, and we read a hell of alot of the scene over there.

If you like the heir of Nazis yes :P Argentina is the most beautiful country I can think (Patagonia, Atacama...) of but it is also the most hated one in South America. The Argentinians are described as being very "arrogant"...go figure seeing as it is a Nazi refuge.

Yep. I guess I'll just post about America from now on. That's usually spot on and on occasion, pretty hilarious.

Nah I just wanted to point out my previous sentence that unless you look like Hitler's wet dream of Aria, the people won't even notice you are from another country xD

re south korea

the country sounds like a rad place to visit but no way i'd live there, this based on observations from several friends in us military who have been posted there or people who have taught there, as well as a south korean i play tanks with. they are hyper hyper religious, if you cannot deal with evangelical christian prudes as it is then you will hate it there. this is thanks to us presence from the 50s on, they took to it even more than the us did and unlike the us it doesn't seem to be fading out all that much. your northern neighbour is fucking insane and could potentially blow you up at any time. there is a general distrust of foreigners and air of superiority (much like japan, perhaps not as pronounced) and lol heaven fucking forbid you ever try and chat up some south korean girl because every dude within several hundred yards will beeline to try shut you down, as if westerners are trying to steal all their women. (e: which probably isn't all that far-fetched, now i think about it)

also don't go anywhere near us bases, because the areas immediately around them are americanised as shit and pretty much awful. though this is true of basically any area of any country where there is a us military base, so it kinda goes without saying.

It might also be due to the fact that compared to most of South America (or Latin America on the whole), they are not as "Hispanic." Also, the people of the northern part of South America (think Brazil on up) will immediately recognize foreigners. Bam, just like that. They will charge you more, for goods and services, too. It's even worse if you are female.
