View Full Version : Art (images) request

I thought about posting this in The Studio, but it's a request. I thought about posting this in the CD forum but it's not really community related. So OT it is.

I require two images (to be made logos later) to be made if anyone has the free time. One is in the spirit of a Tipi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipi), the other in the spirit of Scrappy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrappy-Doo).

For the Tipi logo, the tipi itself can be something as simple, shape wise, as this (http://www.manataka.org/images/Tipi.jpg). I'm envisioning a bolded (but not as bolded as the boarders in that tipi gif) half circle coming out (so there's a slight illusion of depth) from the tipi's base where a fire is placed. Then coming out of the fire would be a Phoenix, maybe like this (http://tribal.tattoospicture.us/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/tribal-phoenix-bird-tattoo-178x300.jpg). So the tipi itself would be in the background.

The image, preferably, would look good even when resized down to about the size of say my avatar (this, however, isn't an avatar request). Colors, I would prefer white as the background, black is fine for boarders, and orange/yellow should be fine for the fire.

For the Scrappy logo, I'm looking for something basic. A headshot, something like this (http://www.coloring.es/pages/Scooby-Doo/images/Scrapy.gif). I'm not looking for an exact Scrappy clone (I'm doing this request as I need something custom that won't cause legal problems). But a dog headshot. Including a collar is fine, and if you do, please include "S.C." (not actually a name, for those of you playing along) in the dogtag. Maybe something that blends that Scrappy gif with this doberman logo (http://www.dpca.org/JEC/images/DPCA%20logo.GIF). When it comes to the dog, a slight silly/human face (like Scrappy has) is fine. Definitely nothing as serious as an actual doberman. See the GNU Wildebeest (http://www.gnu.org/s/dejagnu/images/gnu-head.jpg) as an example. Colors, I'm open again to a white background, with black boarders. If you feel you can work in some other colors without being too distractfing, by all means, try it.

Please do not include any text in these logos (text is for a later date). So no "Tipi" or "Scrappy" in the logos themselves.

Anyone interested? Can't offer anything monetary in return, other than a thank-you and credit.

I'll work on it later today. any particular dimensions you want, or would you like the highest res

For now, highest res is fine. No particulars until things are (near) final

well I lost my high-res piture because I neglected to save the .sai file before rebooting. Soooo this is the highest res I've got at the moment.

here's what I've come up with, B/W with monochromatic shading.

Version 1 fits the best, not too big on the tongue being out there fappin'. I mean flapping.

kk

anything more you want done on this or should I call it final

There's some minor differences in the face between v1 and v2 that I can merge in

None of the facial diffs (eg, wrinkles around the nose) are that important to me. I'd go ahead and call the design final.

Can you try using some natural (dog) hair colors, just to see what it looks like, instead of just white? Want to see if it looks better or just stick with B/W

Second one's my personal favorite, not too fond of how shitily the highlights came out
