Well, their news and previews are pretty good. Or at least it used to be. I'm not sure, haven't been there in years, except for that WarZ lulz.

Anyways, the GameSpy website is what they are talking about here, not the master server. GameSpy is just a subsidiary of Ziff Davis anyways, so that doesn't effect their ability to keep the master server up. If the master server was going down, then there would have been some sort of announcement before it happened, seeing as GameSpy is already down right now.

lolz back in the day when McAfee flagged Gamespy Arcade as spyware. Haven't trusted them since. Also the irony in their name...

The master servers aren't actually run by IGN/Gamespy anymore. That part of Gamespy was sold off to another company. That's why there was news of several games shutting down a few months ago. The new company increased fees and the developers didn't want to pay them.

Anyway, I doubt this IGN thing means anything for Halo since the master servers aren't in their control anymore.
