You can easily tell the difference between the two, the problem is I just can't describe it =D

Higher res textures, more objects on view, better effects, and a few other things not so easily recognizable from a video.

whoa, just noticed that when it roars, the smoke blows away from it. Nifty.

The lighting and textures seem to be millions better on DX 10.

I liked those Crysis vs real life pictures, because Crysis looked better.

Mary mother of god...If DX10 and the Flight sim icons weren't on the bottom, I'd have believed that to be a real photo.:iia:

Not that that kind of quality can't be produced with DirectX 10, but that specific image is fake :(
The bottom is a real image slapped on top of the DX9 render, the back is extremely touched up, but not by the renderer.
Once again: :(

No, seriously, it's a fake mock-up made to show what DX10 can do, but it's still fake.
Did I mention M$ said so?

First off, I would like to say that DX9 still has plenty of life in it, and I think it can create rather impressive visuals. Secondly, DX10 is god. I'm just begging for Halo 3 to look half as amazing as Crysis.

Seriously, this makes the PS3 and the Xbox 360 games look more eight-bit than they already are compared to PC titles. :)

Man...that difference between the Hunter one was amazing..
Didn't notice a difference between the Forest Fight one though, apart from motion blur.

Wait, Xbox 360 doesnt have Dx10.

Therefore crysis will look not as good when its on xbox 360

(and yes, it IS coming out on 360, trust me :))

Sorry, but it'll really suck on any current console. The graphics is what gives you the enthusiasm to get into it, and seperates it from all the other games.
When that's gone, it's just another first person shooter...
On the 360, it'll probably look something like GRAW 2.

Standard as of what 2-3 years ago, its a stupid internet meme that is no longer popular, and in fact is looked upon in distaste by the majority of internet users. Intelligent ones that is

Although you are correct by saying the 360 does not have DX10 you must realize that it also does not have DX9. Its more of a hybrid, its like a DX9.5 it has some DX10 features but it is mostly DX9.

"Xbox360 cannot run DX10," an ATI spokesperson told 1up. Currently, Microsoft's console runs an advanced version of DirectX 9, which, according to ATI, features "memory export that can enable DX10-class functionality such as stream-out."
