...know of some good instrumental composure software? Stuff including things like drums, guitars, the works? I'm doing some sound work, and was wondering if someone could recommend from past experience. Thanks in advance.

Propellerhead's Reason is what I use.
However if you're just looking for drum loops and loop oriented sounds you might wanna take a look at Fruity Loops.
If you need help with either program just drop me a PM. I'm familiar with both of them.

Finale. It's a sheet music editor. I used it a lot back when I was doing a lot of music theory before I changed my major. It can compose most all instruments into a mixed MIDI as you go along, so you can hear what you write. It's no garage band or sound editor though.

Well MIDI are old school and not used anymore to make beats or music etc.

I still love MIDI:)
