Nokia N95. 2.6" QVGA screen, up to 30fps 480p video, 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss camera lens (the first phone to truly replace most standard digital cameras), integrated GPS (you must pay for subscription though) plus Mini SD card slot. There's even a 0.3MP 3G lens on the front (3G is a video call service in Asia that's like webcam on a cell phone)

This cellular phone would be my dream handheld gadget. At $700-plus USD, it costs more than three PSPs, but its multimedia features are worth it. Battery life is probably shitty though.

Another dream handheld:

O2 XDA Zinc PDA - runs Windows Mobile 5, has a QVGA touch screen, integrated flash memory, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 2-megapixel camera (not great, but clear enough to put as a desktop wallpaper). Like the N95, it's got a 3G lens. It may not be so multimedia-friendly but has more functions - it's a PDA smartphone, after all.

I find it a bit weird how you call a mobile phone a "gadget".
It's meant for calling and texting...jeez.

And what modern mobile phones are turning into is just ridiculous...I mean, it's not really a "phone" anymore - it's an entertainment centre.
Soon you'll have a portable Xbox 360 that small - which can use Windows Vista

But my dream handheld gadget would be an Xbox handheld. As long as its anything like the 360 with decent graphics, the same games and actually RELIABLE, i'd buy it.

iPhone is really sexy. The fact that it's touchscreen and the way you scroll through your music is just...sex.

My dream handheld gadget is a Q1 (UMPC) running Ubuntu, but with a new GeForce Go in it.

They aren't called origamis anymore.
They're UMPCs (Ultra Mobiles)
And they can play Halo because most of them have GMA 910s in them.
I'm actually saving up for an R2Hv, which has a gig of ram, 1.0ghz Intel cpu, comes with Vista (hence the V, the R2H is also available, but not as good), has a GPS, GMA 910, thumbprint scanner...
Pricetag: $1200

lol original iPod.

You might be able to find that at an auction if it's antique enough (I've seen a 1978 apple computer being auctioned once for almost 50 grand).

I have actually used the iPhone and I was impressed. I thought it was going to fail to meet the hype but its a very impressive device.

iPhone has the best screen out of all the phone's I've tried, but it's missing many features found on the Windows Mobile 5 PDA-phones. Smartphones are where Microsoft Windows actually is pretty good.

Here's another dream handheld I'd like to own:

Yes, that's a real, non-PSed image of a homebrew portable Xbox. Battery life is shit but what can you expect from a portable with the computer power of an Xbox? (even the PSP can only get 4-5 hours tops when gaming)

I beg to differ. my psp gets 7-9 hours battery life. yes it is the original battery.

Talking about shooting stuff in school is not a very smart thing to do, nor is it funny.

Also, these are for real things, not stuff from a video game.

Meh, the iPhone is lame because it doesn't flip open to unfold into a brand new car.
