Another one of my pre-Halo 2 release models finally completed. The model has 1236 triangles and as always, I did not rip it from H2-the model is 100% custom. I just wanna thank Veegie for giving me the side ref I needed.

Looking pretty good, but could do with some more details. 1238 polies? You could almost triple that count :p

Well, it looks like the Fish gun from Halo 2, very good job you did.

You've never heard or read the term fish gun, I mean, right off I the first thought that came to my mind when I saw a pic of the Beam rifle, is that looks like a Shark, or a fish of some kind, next time I'm online, I'll post a a few things that will help.

No, don't bother, I get your meaning - just never heard anyone else describe it like that. Usually I hear it referred to as the "beam rifle", "covenant sniper", "beam sniper" or simply "beamer".

Now that I look at it, the only detail I left out is at the back end of the gun by the handle. Meh, its hard to describe what I am talking about, but I'll fix it after Thanksgiving.

why dont u just use the models from the halo 2 disk? wouldnt that be easier and 100% authentic?

Because he'd rather take the time to model something his self.

and, the geting real Halo 2 Models from the Halo 2 CD or DVD or what ever its on, is what most people call ripping, and that isn't something good.

One, it is illegal. Two, I rather spend time time and work on it myself for more modeling practice(I am going to major in video game design in college). Three, I like modeling and hate people that cheat at it.
