My apologies for posting this in two forums but it seems relevant.

How many people have direct links on their websites or in their documentation to the specific map download pages pointing to the Halo Maps.org website either h2v.halomaps.org or hce.halomaps.org? The link would look something like: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=2194 with a "FID" variable in the URL.

links like that are all over the place... can't you check where your visitors come from?

yea, usually when someone uploads something, they're bound to paste one of those links on some forums, yellinh "hay, check this out!"

There's around 180 or so posted on these forums, if that helps.

Thanks guys.

can't you check where your visitors come from? This has nothing to do with traffic stats. It is a confirmation or rejection of a design criteria.

^^Yea, I meant like referrers... but as you said in your H2V twin of this thread it's unreliable... so that question isn't needed anymore.... (just clarifying what I was asking)
