The game will run choppy on anything higher than 90 frames basically so you're either going to have to get use to it, or cap your framerate ( which I don't know how to do).

I know how to cap your framerate. Force vSync in your video card's control panel. This will also fix mouse-stuttering issues (which happen regardless of how well you can run the game). The downside to this workaround, though, is that if you alt-tab out to windows, vSync will be disabled when you return to H2V. Hopefully they'll include an option in a patch.

I've heard alot of talk about vSync.

"Turn vSync off."

"NOWAI BECVAUSE IT HOLDS MY FPS."

One, turn your Refresh rate to 120 or 100 or whatever you can. 100 FPS at 1024 is plenty FPS. Two, if you don't want tearing, vSync can help you, by making it so frames aren't lost.... Let me explain it.

Your refresh rate is how fast your monitor is refreshing FPS. Usually at 1024 it's about 100hZ. Now, if you're running at 120 FPS, you will get frames lost because the computer won't render those frames because you have 120 FPS but you only can run at 100fps. Doing this causes tearing.

It may cap your FPS, but it stops tearing, I use vSync peronally.

I just wanted to clear things up.

Refresh rate? That more or less depends on what kind of monitor/graphics card he hass. A refresh rate of 120 is kind of crazy, I have mine set to 85 and I run everything perfectly smooth. Then again I have a flat screen..

YA i was wondering about that too. You can only choose the framerate according to the max on your monitor. If you're running 100Hz on 1024x768 max monitor(CRT), watch out cuz that thing can get damaged....permanently. I'm not even sure how you would get the option to run it at that framerate in Halo 2.

I'm not even sure how you would get the option to run it at that framerate in Halo 2.That is incorrect sir. Either the CRT can support it, or the drivers are keeping it at a lower refresh rate. The CRT is obviously not 1024x768 max if it can run that at 85Hz even. :p

Right you are, it depends on the size of the CRT, max i've seen is 19". LOL I was thinking in terms of a 17" CRT. I have a Samsung 17" SyncMaster 750s CRT that I use on my older PC. The max res on that is 1280x1024 but the optimal res is 1024x768 at 60mhz.

It will run like utter poop. Seriously.

Actually, logic wise, it will process it wonderfuly. Graphics, I couldn't give a good opinion base, as I do not have any experience with that graphics card. I assume it will play just fine, though.
