Update:
Eh... the problem with the first beta was that I had all my bitmaps in two separate folders and forgot to change the bitmap type of the bump maps in the the second folder to 32-bit height map. That fixed it, but I was too busy this week to release it until now. Sorry about all of that. I also worked on the shaders anyway, and fixed most of the lighting issues.

Map Info:
All game types (besides KotH), weapons, and respawns are working fine to my knowledge. With King of the Hill, the hill areas are much more circular than I'd like, so I'll probably just create a several more hill markers in each corner of the region to put more weight on it. Either that, or put points around the entire region instead of just the corners. There are a couple lighting issues I want to work out and the glass windows need to be tweaked, but otherwise it is ready for release. I am looking for feedback on how it looks and plays compared to HCE Prisoner.

The bsp stays true to Prisoner's, but the wall textue looks too cartoony. Like its cel-shaded or something. Add some stucco to it in Photoshop or something. If you need help, PM me and I'll do it for you.

Use the original textures, and create shaders that are close to the old halo 1 shaders.

I've been working on a few myself, and they look like awesomesauce when you try to match them up to the ol' awesomeness.

Anyways, good job.

TBH, instead of just taking the halo 1 bsp and putting it in halo 2 along with all the halo 1 textures, you could actually remodel it to fit halo 2 better. Some of those halo 1 textures can be found in the tagset they gave us. THIS (http://www.h2vista.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3212) is a true remake of a map, that's prisoner btw. I don't expect it too be that good, but I expect something a little more halo 2 style, then halo 1 (This is after all halo 2).

This may not stop you but I'm sure later on there will be 10 different prisoner maps with the exact same BSP as halo 1, with all the same textures. There's already 2 of your maps out there, beta 1 & beta 2.

As you've said, Prisoner is already being remade, so I thought I'd port it instead. I just ported this mainly for my own experience and decided to release it. Also, some people actually LIKE ports. Shocking, I know.

Yes I know I'm just recommanding you use some halo 2 textures in there. I know most of the new members have no modeling experience at all so they do something they can. I for one like hang em high.

it's looking better, I wish some one would dim the lights abit and give it that cold, dark, alone feeling to it. but oh well, I'll like this remake, and the remake of this map XCE is working on. :p

Hey guys it seems i cant play this map because it doesnt appear in my "downloaded maps" list in H2V:mad:

i cant play a few downloaded maps from halomaps.org:mad: posterity for example

what can i do?

yea im putting it in the right folder.... in Halo2/Maps or something... i already got lots of maps working, but this one and some others dont show up in the downloaded maps list in H2V...
any chance that someone sends me a friend request and let me download the map online???
