According to some of my friends who used to play HaloCE say that the reason they think it is dying is because of a few reasons:

The amount of users using the aimbot
Ignorant Admins of servers
The lack of good maps (which I don't agree with)
Many servers are in North AmericaThe only way I can think of promoting HaloCE is by going to different haloPC communities and informing people about the concept of the game and how it differs from Halo: Combat Evolved. Now, many of us have said before that HaloCE is on it's way to death, which is true in some cases.

I would like to hear your idea's on how we could get HaloPC players to start playing HaloCE. Please, I'm just curious and trying to help so please don't flame.

now i for one wouldnt entirely agrred on the statment that its "dying". yes there are few players, (at least in my time zone with an avg of max 30 players) and i claim that h2v will also have an impact on the player numbers.
but i highly doubt that it will "die" someday meaning that nooone will play it anymore. theres always a bunch of die hard fans who wil keep it alive and mod on.

and for your four points list, i dont think the aimbot is really a factor for not playing ce. same for number 2. theres always some quality server out there hosted by a friendly dude.
it would be practical to have a direct download feature for ce, but since that is impossible as far as i know, some maps (for instance hugeass, cs, chronopolos, or..bg...) will be played more often because chances are you get your server full with popular maps on your mapcycle. but popular doesnt always mean "quality". there are a lot good maps out there but they simply are forgotten because noone plays dem.
and for the 4th point... i dont really get it.

When I play there are about 95 people playing. Which I guess is lucky. And, Reponse to your points:

1. I have not encountered an aimbot in about 6 weeks. LUCKY STREAK!
2. Don't go to Diesel's new server. I'm already banned from there.
3. No good maps? wtf.... There's plenty good maps.
4. I'm in North America, I can't complain.

Ce is NOT dieing, everytime someone makes that remark, I always still see players in the game, and from what I've seen recently, alot of the PC players that joined aren't really interesting and seem to show off alot.

Oh and the ignorant admins? The only reason Diesel's Server has a bad name is because Enforcer took the bannage too far, he can complain all he likes but at the end of the day, it's Diesel's server. The only negative side of this is that some of the people with rcon, excluding Bacon and Polar are a little too silly to have the amount of power in a server, and from what I've seen in the past, Diesel can put this right like he did last time.

Almost every admin in Diesel's servers is a complete idiot. Who cares if most of the servers are in North America, a lot of people are from North America. The aimbotting thing has died down but I still see one every few games. Lack of good maps is a complete and total BULLSHIT statement, there are HORDES of good maps that people are too Blood Gulch addicted to play.

1. Um, people hack in halo pc, and there are alot more hacks than just an aimbot.
2. Ignorant admins? prehaps, least it isnt like halo pc where the admin mods the map to their advantage and makes it laggy as fuck
3. are you crazy?

CE may never have the highest player base, but I will still use it to make maps/mods.
