View Full Version : A sad story:

I have a raver friend, and I made the foolish mistake of trying some of his Ex on Monday night. Mind you, it was like a fourth of a pill. 3 mg maybe. Something like that.

It was not fun. Not at all.

I lost track of time, but at first it's like a monster sugar rush in your head, but it only feels great. Kinda like an inverse headache. No, an inverse migraine. That's how good it felt.

Then I crashed. And I crashed hard.

I felt like shit the rest of the night (3 or so hours). My friend says I was delirious and kept mumbling about something. I don't even know; I was slipping in and out of consciousness. I also reportedly had a high fever, and I was sweating a lot. I "woke up" at around 10:30, and I felt like I was tripping balls, but in a bad way. Driving home, I almost got arrested for driving erratically, but I somehow managed to talk my way out of it. I got home, and fell on the bed and went straight to sleep. I woke up with a killer earache and a sore throat(not sure if they're related).

Moral of the story: Never, ever do ecstasy.

theres no such thing as a "free-High"

if your artificially high today, you'll be artificially low tomorrow.

My friend was legally high today because she had to take pain pills, however they were so strong I called them horse pills. :I

Not true with me and my good friend Mary.

Also, this reminds me of the time I took LSD and thought a train was going to hit me, in a 2nd story bedroom.

Hard drugs are not much fun, kiddies.

Always wondered what it would be like to have a LSD trip. Thought I would save that experience for when I was old and retired. Anything other than that though I would never, ever do (except for a certain thing thats legal in some countries already...). Gateways my ass, eat shit and die you :bandwagon:ing parents :|

And yes, what goes up, must come down, but I beg to differ that its always the way you feel that goes down...

Now having absolutely no experience with drugs (barring my "wisdom teeth pulling trip") I can't say anything about the doing of the drugs, but I do have to say that driving home while messed up like that was not one of the best decisions you've ever made, Emmzee.

But it looks like you learned your lesson.

On another note, seriously, all the weird shit you guys come up with on these forums is way better than any drug trip I can imagine. H2V.net: not my anti-drug, but my drug substitute. :hyper:

Come on man...don't tell me they didn't teach you about the side/after effects of ecstasy in school?

Christ, I was taught how tell the difference between weed and other plants.

The closest I've been to getting high was when I got nitrogen narcosis when I was doing deep diving. All of a sudden my hands were fascinating and bubbles were funny. :awesome:

a few weeks ago, i almost fainted because a piece of chocolate suddenly [ ;P ] really tasted god like. i ate the whole lot of it and then i was rather tired. the next day was really depressing as i woke up knowing, all of my chocolate was gone. :(

also, consider that alcohol and cigarets are drugs too.

what's nitrogen narcosis? :effort: to look it up.

Nitrogen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrogen) narcosis or inert gas narcosis is a reversible alteration in consciousness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consciousness) producing a state similar to alcohol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol) intoxication in scuba divers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scuba_diving) at depth. It occurs to some small extent at any depth, but in most cases doesn't become noticeable until deeper depths, usually from 30 to 40 meters. Jacques Cousteau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques-Yves_Cousteau) famously described it as the "rapture of the deep". Its precise mechanism is not well understood, but it appears to be a direct effect of nitrogen dissolving into nerve membranes and causing temporary disruption in nerve transmissions. While the effect was first observed with nitrogen (in air), other gases including argon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argon), krypton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krypton), and hydrogen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen) also cause very similar effects under higher than atmopheric pressure. Nitrous oxide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrous_oxide) (laughing gas) appears to exert its effect by this mechanism.

:awesome: Getting high at 30m below sea level is fun. As is pissing in your wetsuit at that depth to stay warm. :ssh:
