EMT Inverno

Inverno was created by EMT.

EMT consisted of KId, Haloguru, corndogman and Nexus Halo (Joined later, so they only beta'd)
At first kid made the model way back in august which was meant to be a summer map, and then changed into
an awesome winter map. Guru revamped it, turning it into this.
The map has many new cool, features.

Weapons.
We have added auto-aim to the sniper rifle and and various other weapons.
You may think that that would decrease from the fun that you will have, or take away skill. But it is actually
better. Instead of host aiming at the head, and getting a direct shot, now even people with 200 ping can do it!
The pistol has had the scope removed and the fire toned down, to make gameplay more exciting.
The AR has a great new skin (Thanks Dano!) and now fires differently, with better sounds.
The Rocket Launcher now Seeks onto people and vehicles, it seems like it is right out of halo 2.


Awesome New Features.
We have added 2 elevator lifts, that syncs great online. There is also a bridge that you can activate to
make it go in and out to cross over the canyon, that also syncs online. It is 1 way

far far too ambitious for a multi-player halo map. Its also a boxed canyon, that resembles a box too much. It needs more work.

it could have been a lot better, but the modeling is amateurish and boring, and the texturing looks like there wasn't much effort put in. Design-wise it needed more thought too.

You'd be surprised. The little shit who posted this map ADMITTED to leaking 3 of our maps (He used to be a UMT beta tester), then forming EMT, making a box piece of crap, and releasing it under UMT's name.

Not sure if that counts as evil, but it's nothing to be proud of.

Tips:

Dont have render only trees where you can walk. there should be more snowy trees. Also the bsp could be more detailed. Instead of the cliffs just going down to the map, it may be the camera view but thats what it looks like. It may just be me.

I think this came out ok.

He wasnt a UMT beta tester. You secretly gave him the maps where he then leaked them. Thats why you got the boot :D Get your facts straight

thanks for the tips everyone. just fyi there will be more work done on this map. its technically just a public beta. things such as the render only trees and textures will be improved upon. more detail will be added where necessary.

also, please don't stereotype us or any members based on past actions of members or reputations. the past is over with, forget about it.

A beta should be a test of gameplay mostly. The map should have a final BSP instead a rushed development looking map.

If that is shattering glass on the bridge, thats pointless because the glass does not sync. Lets say you shatter it and a new person joins. He can see the glass just fine on the bridge but when he goes on the bridge he will lag right through.

UVW's (especially in the tunnels) are baaad.

The bases look like something I could model (and I cant model anything) and they really don't fit with halo. Actually all the structures are very un halo but looks like you tried to make them forerunner.

2/5 Gold stars on this. I expect something that looks good for a final.

were working on new bases. forerunner bases. we know about the UVW errors in the tunnel, and we now have portals, it wont snow under water anymore.

The tunnels were horrible, they were too long for walking, and they werent big enough to drive through properly.

The map is littered with bad design choices.

Think it out better, and then redo it.

I did like your bridge and the tunnel platforms that could create interesting gameplay, but the modelling was just so yucky :(

And you overused the scenery sooo much :|
