That kid should have just kept saying "dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude..." after that fat fuck told him not to call him dude for like the tenth time.

Seeing shit like this always makes my blood boil. This would have been warranted only if the kid was being a punk, but all he did was ask the guy to speak up.

Been in a similar situation here once, caught a cop on a bad day while I was biking home with some friends (we do the DH stuff at a ski hill in our city during the summer). At the time we were just biking home through a public park with no skating signs and such. We weren't riding on curbs, or jumping off anything. The cop drives up, hits his siren to get our attention, and jumps out of his car and starts yelling at us for not obeying the signs. Apparently "no skateboards" means "No riding your bike on the bike path". Anyhow, we got fed up with him after he was telling us to all lie face down on the ground with our hands outstretched above our heads. Basically we tried explaining to him that we were just biking, but he kept cutting us off and saying that because our bikes are made for tricks and stunts, that we MUST have been doing that... Anyways, we refused to lie down, so he decided that THROWING us to the ground was a good idea. My buddies wanted to gang up on him and kick his ass, but he had already called for backup, so I got them to just SIT on the ground, instead of face down. He got more pissed but didn't do anything except yell at us till the backup arrived (it was a Sergeant that was pretty cool), he let us explain what we were doing, and asked if we could provide proof that we weren't doing anything.

This is were is gets good ;).

One of the buddies I was with has a helmet cam (:GASP:), and happened to leave it rolling for shits and giggles on the way home (or he forgot to turn it off, anyways). We got to show the Sergeant the video, and he kinda looked over at the other cop in a "Dude, you're fired" kind of look.

Anyhow, we ended up getting charged with a minor "Non-Compliance" fine (it was like $20), but the cop that did the throwing got fired from the service. I fucking hate it when cops let their "authority" go to their heads.

Uh.

4.Western U.S. an urban Easterner who vacations on a ranch.

notice that I said w/e because I didn't actually care enough to go back and copy the text from dictionary.com or w/e, plus I was stating what the officer said a dude was, not the actual definition.

I was sort of poking fun at the definition he applied to the word. I wasn't actually trying to state the definition, but I thank you for that correction, because we all know how important it was that you had to "bold" the text for me so I could read it.

Right... right...

Basically nowadays when ever someone uses the word dude its almost always taken as another word to say then guy or guys, man or men. "Whats up dude" "Whats up guys" "whats up man"

So it makes no sense that the cop decided to take it out of context and take it offensively, then the fact that he compared it to how they treat there teachers just made him look even more stupid. Your a police officer, grow some balls, and man the fuck up. The reason teachers get mad is because they expect to be called Mr. or Mrs what ever there name is. The reason he got mad was because they didn't refer to him as "officer". Which helps further indicate how far that stick got stuck up his ass when he fell out of his bed that mourning. He was pissed off because the kids (and I'll emphasize that word) kids said "dude we weren't doing anything" as apposed to saying "Officer we weren't doing anything".

He took offense because he felt insulted that they didn't call him an officer. Freakin pussy... man it up big deal, just because you made it on the force doesn't mean everyone has to call you officer dan or w/e the fuck ur name is. /rant

you know, i have a friend who was assaulted by a us navy seal.
my 8th grade class and I were on a trip to Newport, Rhode Island and we stopped at that starbucks right near ryans family amusements and the army navy surplus store while some chaperons we getting the vans to take us back to school. my friend, Luc (yes that is spelled correctly), sat down in a chair ... ok we he sat down on top of a girl in my class named Lilly, but they were next to this guy reading a newspaper. the guy suddenly stands up, gets in Luc's face and growls at him "get off of my sunglasses!" Luc has terrets (dont know how to spell that), ADD, OCD, and a big mouth, so he said "im not sitting on your sunglasses." the guy is now pissed off, if he wasnt before we even arrived at starbucks, he yells "DON'T BACKTALK ME!" at Luc. Luc's pissed off now, reasons are obvious (and hes still sitting on Lilly btw) and he retorts back "HOW IS THAT BACKTALKING?!" the guy grabs him by the throat, pushes him out the side door, across the street, and up against a trash can. One of the chaperons, who will remain nameless, threw her coffee at the guy and tried to pull him off of Luc.
when the "fight" had been broken up, that same lady called the police. long story short, this guy was a US navy seal who had just gotten out of training and has a 2 year old daughter. the guy got off without a trial, arrest or anything becuase that woman threw the coffee at him. the starbucks people said that my class was loud and obnoxious (what can you expect from 18 8th graders) and our only "non-biased" witness was a guy who was so drunk off of his ass that he couldn't walk properly, let alone give an eyewitness account. that navy seal is, as far as i know, in Hawaii and better damn well stay there.

oh the best part of this though, is that we were in Newport to go to a Spanish restaurant and do a Spanish play as our final exam. we didn't get a chance to do the play, so we all just got 100's for grades :D. gotta love middle school
holy damn that was long

Tbh your friend Luc shouldn't have been an asshole. Didn't the school ever tell you to be on your best behavior? All he had to do was get up and all that could have been avoided. Tbh if I was a navy seal and had just gone through the training, I would have just been through some shit and didn't want to have to deal with it on my break. The last thing I'd need is a mouthy 8th grader on a field trip getting snippy with me for the simple request of not sitting on my sunglasses. On top of that, some bitch whore throws coffee at me! <>

Also, if he sat on Lilly, how is that the navy seals sunglasses? Your story does not add up.

Luc has Tourette's* (dont know how to spell that), ADD, OCD, and a big mouth...
The kid had half the alphabet's worth of mental disorders, according to him. I'm sure no matter how many time you'd tell him to stay calm there, he'd still explode.

Roostervier
February 14th, 2008, 01:26 AM
Tbh, ADD is made up and OCD has nothing to do with it. I suppose Tourette's would be the only exception. Either way, I was trying to get him to realize that he shouldn't have been acting so defiant/frustrated with the guy. If the story is even true, the guy was probably having second thoughts about serving the country for the likes of people like him. Then again, he's probably a better person than that and let it pass. Whatever. Excuse my derail of this thread please. If it's cause for some kind of punishment, then, whatever.

I "had ADD" and was treated with medication until I realized that I was just a stupid hyperactive kid when they first prescribed it to me in the second grade, and I had matured enough to not be a dumbass most of the time.

In my case, it was just doctors trying to treat the way little kids normally act with drugs.

I forgot about your brother, sorry. What I should have said is that most kids in America don't have (real cases of) ADD, it's just what Emmzee described. It's for all those parents who want an excuse to drug their kid to get them to stop being hyperactive when they should have applied proper discipline to them in the first place. I was labeled with ADD when I was 3 when I went to the doctor's (my parents did not even ask about it, doctor just came outright with it)... I was 3 years old! Did they expect me not to be hyperactive? At around 6 it was all controlled (without the use of medication). My case is that this fall back kind of excuse for a child having ADD is fake, not people with actual cases.

e: Also, the type of people I'm talking about use it as an excuse all the time. Especially in school scenarios. Are you getting what I'm talking about and why I said what I said?

no shit, he WASN'T sitting on his glasses. the navy seal guy was just being stupid. i only started paying attention once the guy actually grabbed Luc. and if you dont belive it, you can ask the starbucks people. im pretty sure that kinda crap doesnt happen alot. i really dont think he was being an asshole either, he just the kind of kid who going to question something stupid like that. i dont think there were even any sunglasses present when this happened. did i mention that Luc was 14 when this happened? I would think that throwing a coffee is a reasonable thing to do when a grown man attacks a 14 year old.... and for those who dont really believe the story, would you believe the story of that kid in the video being... harassed by a cop?

Yes, I would believe that story of a cop harassing someone. Your story didn't really add up at all. All you mentioned was that some US Navy Seal decided to start shit with you guys for no reason and attacked your friend. There's a huge difference between that and a cop simply being an ass hat.

1. Fat people cant run fast.
2. Its not like he can jump into his ultra fast vehicle and catch the perps.

Total overreaction, this bastard should get the book thrown at him and be put into jail and fined because what he did was against the law, him being a cop shouldnt have any bearing, it should make it WORSE for him because he should know better. I dont give a crap whether "he had a bad day", having a bad day is part of being a cop, if hes not up for it, dont be a damn cop.

Him slamming him down, and also saying "if you dont learn some respect soon some one will kill you", you dont say that to a 14 year old. Especially coming from a cop.

The only cop I ever heard of who got suspended without pay was one who shot some 15-year old kid in the leg for no reason.

Believe it or not, but if you take the cop out of the line of duty, that's punishment enough.

4RT1LL3RY
February 17th, 2008, 09:27 PM
That is a major over-reaction. I mean why would you chose to pick on a kid who is just minding his own business listening to music while he happened to be carrying a skateboard. The whole thing happened because the kid said "Yeah" in a "defensive tone", it sounded like the standard submissive/ can we just get it over with voice. If they were skateboarding before the video he shouldn't have threatened them with juvenile hall for that.

The kid should have acted like he couldn't hear him and just kept walking. He wasn't skateboarding he just had one, so thats perfectly fine. That is like having your cellphone in your pocket at school. Its fine as long as you don't use it. I mean, my dad's a cop. When he did traffic and on foot he would be fine with you if he pulled you over if you weren't a complete asshole or begged not to have a ticket and didn't over react when someone was impolite it just made them more likely to get a ticket.

You can get suspended without pay if you are off duty and see a "dispute" between other off duty officers (a fight at a bar) and refuse to tell who was in it (friends of my dad) even though you did nothing wrong except be there at the wrong time. My dads a cop and he got 2 weeks without pay because of that. HE DID NOTHING WRONG. When your a cop what matters is connections, if you have them you can't be touched, if you don't your screwed.

Most people they say have ADD aren't really ADD or ADHD or *insert other name for inability to focus well*
It just means that they think differently then others. They just think in different ways. Some people are fine with learning and can focus when they information just given to them. Other people need to be involved in something to learn or doing something. I think just about everyone had the little kid ADD you have where you don't want to focus on counting but recess, etc and learn better under those circumstances. Alot of people who are bad at things like math and English are good at other things like woodshop or autoshop, because they learn with their hands instead of their eyes. I learn things ok when I am just reading them or hearing them, but when I actually discuss them they stick. Like if I can relate anything to something that i enjoy or that triggers memories. I know someone who memorizes things better when they are doing something where the only other thing they can do is let their mind wander, such as in running distance. I think best when there is a pattern or structure I can put information in, I am bad at thinking about random things that don't affect me or fit into something I know.

I think best when there is a pattern or structure I can put information in, I am bad at thinking about random things that don't affect me or fit into something I know.

strike out has nothing to do with the topic. anyways, i wonder what's going to happen with officer ravioli. if i were the parents, i'd be suing for assaulting a minor/press charges.

They'll just put him back on, say that they couldn't find anything, and he'll continue to be a dick until he finally snaps and shoots someone. Then they'll finally suspend him without pay. :downs:

According to the Sun, Eric admits that he was skateboarding at the Inner Harbor and that "what he was doing at the time was '100% wrong.'" Despite the fact that the kid was breaking the rules, Rivieri had no right to attack him. Eric wasn't attempting to escape, and there's no way in hell the officer's well-being was in danger; Rivieri clearly had the upper hand in that situation from the word "go."

'the dude' has some emotional issues of some sort.
