It's more likely than you think..

I guess it doesn't really apply too much at these forums, but that game along with many other were on my free game list at gearbox (http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=56356).

Also, if you like that graphic style, check out the award-winning (at the IGF awards) game Fez (http://www.kokoromi.org/fez/)! It's like Cave Story but you can flip the world all 3d-like, just like Super Paper Mario!
