I'm doing an artist study in art class, and I chose Wayne Thiebaud (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Thiebaud). We have to do a reproduction of one of his works, and I chose Pies Pies Pies (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y37/snowysnowcones/thiebaud_pies.jpg).
Obviously, I'm not finished, but this is what I have so far:

It looks a lot better with decent lighting, so I'll try to get a new picture tomorrow with the better camera. But for now, thoughts and comments are appreciated. :)

Layer the colors MUCH more - I've done a piece in his style before, and i just kept on layering everything. Keep at it and it will look splendid. Also, the cake is a pie!

No, I made that on my own for my Portal-based art project involving a quote - the scecond part was to rearrange the piece to change the meaning of the quote. I just made another cube and replaced the 'L' with 'P'. Crap - I still need to upload the .pdf's for you guys to view.
