1. Extract level.map from this archive.
2. Place the file in your C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Halo 2\Maps folder.

Don't jump in the water... there's a kill trigger lurking right below the water plane :).

Please contact me if you want to give me some input on the map or if you find
a problem with the map ie. spawning inside of a tree, I think there's about a

Oh and if you're wondering why I haven't finished Sinergy, I'm not to sure what I want to do with that map, hopefully I'll finish it sometime soon but as soon as I started working on this it just felt better and was a lot easier for me to manage (took me about a week for this one).

I checked for maps under the name of "pool" on halomaps and nothing came up so that's what I went with. (there is a pool like body of water in the map hence the name). You'll just have to use your awesome creativity to come up with a more original name:lol:.

Water shader and structure texturing is kinda meh, otherwise good job. But hell, I could never even get water shaders to work.

I'm uploading a video right now for those of you that don't want to download the map (i'm assuming this is because you un-installed h2v do to it's crapiness).

wtf.. why dont the crates have a bump map?.. i swear H2 had scenery with bump maps..., i swear Halo CE scenery can have bump maps... :S

Uh all my settings are on low, that could be why. My comp has a hard time running the game.

Work on your forerunner modeling. the entrances to the bases are very boring looking. try to make some more interesting shapes.

Hmm a small map.
I think the interior needs more "interior" not detail, just more rooms, perhaps.

Maybe i'm just a huge map freak but aint it kinda small? Like with 16 players on it, you'd be looking at someones ass all the time, or head, or whatever... I'd multiply the size at least by 2.

Maybe i'm just a huge map freak but aint it kinda small? Like with 16 players on it, you'd be looking at someones ass all the time, or head, or whatever... I'd multiply the size at least by 2.

I wanted to keep the map small, basically meant for 2v2, 1v1 and not 16 people. A bigger map might be do-able but not with this one. I'd have to start from scratch if I wanted to to hold 16 people with room to breathe.

You never really get 16 people on a custom map though, but I agree that it`s a bit small. The little lake path seems kinda cheap in CTF, and the fighting isn`t very dynamic in the middle. By putting the rocket launcher there, you`re just encouraging people to go into the base and spawn camp.
