Yeah, don't worry about it anymore. I was going to suggest you get a PC. I work with both Macs and PCs for audio, and I can say wholeheartedly that the bundled music software with OSX is shit shit shit. Anything worth using (particularly if you are a serious musician) is third-party, and Pro Tools/SONAR are available on Windows. EMU hardware (I use an 0404 for my lappy) comes with an LE of SONAR/Cubase, so I would put the extra money spent on Mac hardware towards that.
