question about c++... I have to execute repetetive cmd line commands a LOT and need a way to define macros or something so I can press a key, select a file, and press enter and I don't know how to do this... is there a tut or something anywhere?

Even if it's just forcing a string through cmd prompt, that would work but my google doesn't turn anything up.

Trying to find the/a way to detect if platform is dedi. Local server is still @ 2 so I think I'll make a pointer/reference to the addy, ifdef PLATFORM_IS_DEDI just make &Connection_Type = 3;

e: also im sure i read somewhere that if sapien runs a script with custom globals/functions it will crash, but it should compile and run ok in halo.

Also, after much frustration I think I'm going to be changing my timer to be independent of the OS menu. In fact, I think I might make it such that it only executes when called on... Probably through some scripting global or something. Actually, that gave me an idea... I'm not sure if this is possible but since we can define static void scripts I wonder if I could add parameters to my halo script functions....

Also, I think there's a flaw in Korn's implementation of custom script globals because for some reason the following hs crashes OS_Sapienbeta:

Many thanks!!!!! I was placing my text in Initialize3D and that wasn't working out.... read: text not displaying, but now it works!!!! I'll show you what I've been working on outside of the timer as well when I get the chance. :P

can you give me an example for a text block that will accept an int as a value and display it?
