    Re: Anyone use Subversion?

Unfortunately most version control systems are pretty meh when it comes to handling binary data. Outside of very specific/proprietary things, your best bet is probably going to be Dropbox/Google...

    Re: Anyone use Subversion?

I use Perforce at work. IMO, it's nicer than SVN. My biggest issue with it is that you can't (as far as I know) have multiple changesets which reference the same file. The clunky workaround I have...

If you ever intend to bring this project to a wider audience, you will want to go with something that is a DVCS (ie. Git, Hg, etc.) over...

    Poll: Re: Modacity Community Project

There are better tools available for the job than SVN.

Personally, I would recomend grabbing a few active people and doing a "Game Jam" of sorts. Basically, spend two weeks getting to know...
  13. Sticky: Re: Building a computer? Need advice/suggestions? Come here!

I'd hold out and save up for a GTX670. They're better at pretty much everything except GPGPU stuff.
  14. Sticky: Re: Building a computer? Need advice/suggestions? Come here!

    [Bump]

First off, there are better alternatives to SVN. Git and Mercurial being two common ones.

What type of content are you planning on versioning? If you're only dealing with text then...

    Re: Flying

LAX is unpleasent if that's your starting location. If you can get to Burbank, a lot of JetBlue flights head out from Bob Hope Airport.

I haven't played TF2 in a long time. So uhhh, what do I do.
  19. Re: Long Song appreciation thread (only cool people allowed)

Our definitions of what constitutes an individual song differ :P. Yes, most of their "songs" are around 15-20 minutes, even 30 minutes long for Providence on F#A#∞ (although to be fair, a good 5ish...

    Re: Official Android topic

Was looking forward to getting an HTC Aria (at the moment I'm stuck with AT&T) because HTC had an syncing app that would let you sideload your own apps onto the phone, something AT&T doesn't want you...

Takes a while to build up but it certainly delivers.

More. Most of their songs are 4-5 minutes long or so, but they have a few really long and powerful pieces.

I would go but I'm on the Eastern extreme of the country this year instead of the Western. Which is why I didn't go last year. Or the year before that. Or the year before that. Fuck Geography.

    Re: Which Proccessor?

I'd save up for a few more weeks and get the better CPU unless you absolutely need the computer this second.

The CPU is probably soldered into the socket, so there's no chance of replacing it in...
