Sweet Jesus, you are not comprehending. I'm not talking about your specific laptop, and have never been. I'm talking about in general, if something doesn't meet the TDP, it runs the risk of being too hot or drawing too much power...which both result in a transistor or capacitor being blown and thus a fried part.

Fake E: By the way, an already rare MXM HD5800 probably doesn't meet your TDP...and MXM HD5600s are even harder to find.
