from previous experience I have learned that generally upgrading laptop graphics is more trouble than it's worth because no two laptops are alike and there's always heating, size, driver issues etc. Usually when the manufacturer advertises a laptop graphics as upgradeable, it doesn't mean you can simply swap out for the next generation at will, it probably means if the card fries you can remove it and replace it with a similar model. Also there are different types of MXM sizes and they aren't compatible with one another's slots. And just because the same model of your computer comes with the dedicated card, doesn't necessarily mean the card can go into your integrated-chip model. The mobo could be different to accommodate the card, there could be a different cooling system, etc. Just save up and get a whole new computer (preferably build a desktop, unless you study abroad like me). Furthermore it is extremely rare to see laptop video cards being sold separately.
