...is currently a bit broken on a number of levels so please bear with us.

1) After the VB4 upgrade, staff members no longer have notification of threads waiting approval on the front page of the site - this makes it kinda hard to notice threads which need approval since we need to somehow wander into this section to notice "whoa there's like 3 threads in here that have needed approval for months!"

2) Even if we do approve threads they don't appear to get auto-posted to the front page as they used to (or, maybe they do and I'll end up substantially embarrassed by this) nope, they don't

3) The news articles that somehow DO manage to find their way onto the front page don't have actual threads of comments that show up in this section, meaning you have to keep up with their individual comment threads instead of the convenient package we had here.

This effectively has rendered the News section useless for the time being so just like, keep your cools and we'll figure out something. (I noticed that we had 2 News submissions for the Free Portal dealie AND the front page news AND a thread in the valve section so I thought it would be a good idea to let people know about this issue we're having)

Due to all of the maintenance we're doing and a slight identity crisis going on, we're shutting down The News forum indefinitely. It may come back, it might not.
