    Question Forum collapse buttons

Who else wants the ability to collapse/expand subforums when viewing the index? I have 7 fucking subforums I have to scroll through on the index and there's only 3 really that I even care for.

    Re: Forum collapse buttons

Or better yet (not sure how difficult this would be) give users the ability to order the list themselves so that they can put all the ones they care about up at the top

if not, a collapse button is fine too

    Re: Forum collapse buttons

right now the only web programmer tending to modacity is p0lar_bear so such things won't be happening, especially with some much higher priority items (ie, the downloads section) still unfinished. But yeah, giving the user customization options would be the best route.

If collapse buttons don't become an option I suppose zooming out would be ok?
could most of the non-link texts be removed in favor of tooltips?

    Re: Forum collapse buttons

I literally have to rotate my scroll-wheel three clicks to see all the forums... I don't see why this is an issue, ease up on p0lar and just buy bigger monitors. vOv

    Re: Forum collapse buttons

Hey, you there, the Canuck, guess who's the one who worked on the buttons so they worked for our goddamn site? p0lar_bear. Guess who was the one who turned it off? An admin whose name isn't p0lar_bear.

Think aboot this you self centered fuck: not everyone wants to or can go out and throw down all their cash on computer parts. I already have 5 monitors. I'm not replacing them just so I can have a higher resolution than 1920x1080.

Another point for you to consider: there are more than just 4 active sections. I had to browse these damn forums for a month on a fucking 13" Apple G4. Browsing this shit is no fucking fun when you have 7 subsections and 22 subforums to wade through.

This is a community issue, hence the poll, to get the community's input. Collapse buttons were here before, then a certain admin toggled them off. But now they're back, so this thread/poll has served its purpose.

I don't have nearly the problem you make it out to be with a 9" monitor and no mouse. What the fuck.

    Re: Forum collapse buttons

The reason forum collapsing was disabled is because it allows members to completely ignore sections. We were getting several duplicate threads, and some sections weren't beling noticed at all.

So we rearranged the forums and disabled collapsing.

The only reason collapsing is back is because we've decided on a new way to do it. We're going to make it flash bright colors and text when there's a new post.

(Or if it can get programmed, I have the best solution which would fix like...all forum listing and organization problems.)

I wish that you didn't turn all of our changes and decisions into jokes like that.
