Note: This is not meant to hurt the h2v community! This app alone will not render you anonymous, and with a dying h2v community it's not going to affect it. It's a hello world app for me, and an archive for a tool that doesn't exist online anymore. Plus it's mine

I'm finally satisfied enough with something to release it, so here it is, the PCID editor. It's a GUI that allows you to create a backup of your old PCID profile (so you don't need to backup the entire registry!), then it either randomly generates a PCID or allows you to make your own!

Oh yeah, and there uber-important warning: this will use up CD key uses everytime it's used, which is why it's important you make a backup. That's all I'll say on the matter, and it also means this app won't effect piracy. So I'm not really looking for a professional opinion on it.

Source code for 1.0 is here, and if you don't trust my app it's just that converted to an .exe basically.

a few things.

First this is public knowledge were it is located, Also it does not use up a cd key use if you change it.

Second try setting it to 00000000

yeah so I knew it existed, but couldn't find an app, so I made my own. According to anarchy, smg made most of the apps, and I never saw them there (cloud went clean?). I didn't know it was public knowledge; I googled it and couldn't find anything. So this was kinda a lucky find.

and @ second comment, that's not 16 digits, but that'll make the install date 00/00/0000 as far as im aware. lol, an intelligent pcid ban would be kinda cool.

also, updated with things it really shoulda had. final version.

The PCID is the Personal Computer IDentifier, it has nothing to do with the Cd key or Install date.

if you set it to 00000 it will give itself a error and generate you a new PCID every time you join a game.

D: anarchy told me that it was just the install date of gfwl, but now that I actually look at the output I guess not.

Yes, you can do it in one line. Yes, you can do it in regedit in 5 sec. This was just an easy thing I did that lets me do it myself because I like it.

I hate to tell you, I make non-commercial shit. That means I'm in it for me, not you. I didn't "get my hands on this", I even pm'd anarchy about a mirror but he didn't have it so I had to find the value on my own, without knowing where the fuck it was. Google "pcid halo 2" "pcid editor halo" anything of that sort and this is the only thing.

As for changelog, changelogs are a joke. It looked like shit before, and I wanted to make it look better. It is a joke; it's called sarcasm. In case you miss internet sarcasm, something that's not close to 500 lines can't really have something that long >_>

Yes I can, I figured out how to change PCA's. I haven't figured out a way to make an app to do it, because if you enter an incorrect string (idk the encryption algorith) it will make you reenter a key and count as a use. Basically I had to guess and check a lot.

No it's about doing the goal in the least amount of code and most efficient way. And what cloud posted is probably the best way. hell just open up notepad and make a .reg file that "changes it"
