Achievements aren't about showing off, it's more like a scrap book. Game installs/saves are temporary, but achievements are always right there.

This is how my penis feels about Live achievements: ==========... (you get the idea, I don't need to draw a tip, do I?)

This is how my penis feels about Steam achievements:

    |____ (it's... it's hanging down and rolling across the floor)

I can't give a reason. The penis wants what the penis wants.

I hate to say it, but you guys must have some horrible systems, or some really old versions of GFWL to hate it so much.
I've had nothing but good times with GFWL. Unless it's a competitive multiplayer game that requires a proper matchmaking system (if at all) I see no problem with it. I don't know any games that have their save games tied to GFWL. In fact, I had switched my offline GTA4 account to a MP one and a whopping nothing happened to my save games. So it's just some of you guys having these issues. I really like the interface too. It makes me feel special. Not the mention I can troll my friends who are on XBOX LIVE.

Just discovered, the upcoming PC port of LA Noire, also a Rockstar game, isn't gonna use GFWL. Hallelujah! I hope the same applies to GTA5, and every future Rockstar PC game from now on.

As for optimizing it... I really hope they learned their lesson from the previous one. The Mafia 2 and Just Cause 2 engines are both much better looking and much better optimized.

Yeah, but Team Bondi is completely out of the picture, so some entity at Rockstar decided that GFWL wasn't the direction they wanted to go -- possibly the same entity that will decide GTA V PC's fate.

Like I said earlier, it probably all depends on whether MS wants to fund the DLC episodes. At that point, they can insist on GFWL, so they can sell the DLC on their own marketplace.

Even though I like achievements, it's really just reserved for games that I really, really like and really, really enjoy playing. GTA doesn't really qualify as that. If there wasn't an achievement for it, I would not have bothered with completing 100% and I would not be as burned out on the franchise as I am now.

    Bump

So there has been some 'new', 'leaked' information back from 4th April that I didn't hear about. Now this guy has posted a lot of quite in-depth information, but still you cant be sure if its legit.

If however, it is all correct information, then this seems like it will be the best GTA yet and Rockstar are packing that disc will tons of goodies.

    If that is true...
This may just shape up to be the best game yet, or, It'll be like every other game I got excited for recently and be a pile of poo.
